Going Home

I had a busy summer, going home after my dad's surgery was part of it. I did not realize until I landed in Las Vegas how much everything had changed in almost 5 years. The last time I was there, we had just come back from England and were on our way to Texas. But what I mean by changes, wasn't just the scenery in Las Vegas, but my family. Too much time has passed. I knew the moment I saw my parents again. I did shock them by coming. They did not want me to worry, but being so far away was not the answer when I felt like I needed to be there. It was a homecoming for all of us. You don't realize what you have missed until you step into their world. Even though it was hard being there and feeling like you really need more time to help get things back on track, it was worth the look on everyone's face to see how much we love each other and so hard to leave again. I miss them everyday and know I have to keep in touch to know they are doing better everyday. It won't be 5 years again before I visit. They are a blessing to me that I want to share with you.
Thank you for coming,
Rhodeen
